ITINERARY:
APR 22 CHECK-IN AT NAIA TERMINAL 1 AT 0000HRS / DEPARTURE FROM MANILA TO LISBON
APR 23 LISBON / FATIMA

Upon arrival in Lisbon, we will drive to Fatima. Proceed to hotel for check-in, dinner and overnight.

APR 24 FATIMA

Have breakfast at the hotel. Commence a half-day guided tour of the Lady of Fatima Basilica, to visit to the house of Lucia and the house of Francisco and Jacinta. Celebrate private Mass. Afternoon is free at leisure for your private devotion. In the evening after dinner, you may wish to participate at the Candlelight Procession and evening Rosary.

APR 25 FATIMA / BADAJOZ / SEVILLE

Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Have a long distance drive to Seville via Badajoz. Upon arrival in Seville, have a city orientation tour without guide to view the Plaza de Espana and the Barrio de Santa Cruz. Transfer to hotel for check-in, dinner and overnight.

APR 26SEVILLE / CORDOBA ANDALUSIA / GRANADA

After breakfast and check-out, have a long distance drive to Cordoba. Have a half-day guided tour to visit the Cathedral and Mosque. Visit also the convent Church of San Jose. Continue the long distance drive to Granada. Have a city orientation guided tour to visit Alhambra Gardens and Generalife Palace (UNESCO listed). Transfer to hotel for check-in, dinner and overnight.

APR 27GRANADA / JAEN / UBEDA / TOLEDO

Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Drive to Jaen and have a half-day guided city tour to visit the Jaen Cathedral and the Convento de Santa Teresa. Have a short distance drive to Ubeda and have a city tour on foot (without guide). Continue the long distance transfer to Toledo. Proceed to hotel for check-in, dinner and overnight.

APR 28 TOLEDO / AVILA

Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Have a half-day guided sightseeing tour on foot in Toledo which includes entrance to El Greco’s Museum, and visit to the San Juan de los Reyes (UNESCO listed). View of Puerta del Sol. Have a long distance drive to Avila. Transfer to hotel for check-in, dinner and overnight.

APR 29 AVILA / FONTIVEROS / MEDINA DEL CAMPO / AVILA

Breakfast at the hotel. Have a full-day excursion with guide which includes visit to Convento de Santa Teresa and St. Teresa Basilica. It is the primary shrine of St. Teresa in Ávila. Drive to Fontiveros to visit the Convento de las Carmelitas. Proceed to Medina del Campo to view the La Mota Castle, entrance to the Monasterio de San Jose Carmelitas Descalzas Madina del Campo. Have dinner at a local restaurant before returning to Avila hotel for overnight.

APR 30  AVILA / SEGOVIA / ZARAGOZA

Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Drive to Segovia and have a half-day guided tour to visit the Convent of Descalced Carmelite Nuns. Have a long distance drive to Zaragoza. Transfer to hotel for check-in, dinner and overnight.

MAY 01 ZARAGOZA / BARCELONA

After breakfast and check-out, have a half-day guided tour to visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Pilar in Zaragoza. Continue for a long distance drive to Barcelona. Transfer to hotel for check-in, dinner and overnight.

MAY 02 BARCELONA / MONTSERRAT / BARCELONA

After breakfast, have a guided tour to visit the Basilica De La Sagrada Familia. Then proceed to Montserrat to see Monastir de Montserrat, a Benedictine abbey located on the mountain. Return to Barcelona. Visit the Royal Basilica, one of Spain’s most important pilgrimage sites for hundreds of years, due to its famous 12th century Romanesque carving of the Virgen Moroneta, the Black Virgin. Have dinner at a local restaurant. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

MAY 03 BARCELONA / ZARAGOZA / MADRID

Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Have a long distance transfer to Madrid via Zaragoza. Proceed to hotel for check-in, dinner and overnight.

MAY 04 MADRID / MANILA

After breakfast and check-out, we will have a half-day guided tour with visit to the Royal Palace and to Almudena Cathedral. Rest of the time is free for last minute shopping before proceeding to Madrid airport to catch flight back to Manila.

PILGRIMAGE CHAPLAIN’S PROFILE:FR. DAVE T. CONCEPCION

Fr. Dave Concepcion is the Parish Priest of Sta. Maria Goretti Parish, the church hidden like a pearl in the oyster called the Pope Pius XII Catholic Center along United Nations Avenue in Manila’s Paco District.

He is the President of Catholic Travel Inc. and has journeyed with many pilgrims to the Holy Land and other holy sites around the world as pilgrimage chaplain.

Fr. Dave is a sought after homilist and retreat master known for reflections that lead one to introspection and a deeper relationship with God. He reaches a greater audience on Radio Veritas846 as a regular co-anchor on Pamilya Mo, Pamilya Ko (Mondays, 10-11:55am) where he shares his reflections on the Gospel.

Aside from his daily masses at Sta. Maria Goretti Parish, he presides the Monday 5:45pm and 7pm Eucharistic Celebration at the Sto, Niño de Paz chapel in Greenbelt and the Saturday 12:15pm at the Chapel of the Eucharistic Lord in Megamall.

He teaches Fundamental Liturgy at the Holy Apostles Senior Seminary, the seminary for late vocations of which he is an alumnus.

Fr. Dave is the Spiritual Director of the Rivers of Living Water Catholic Community.
