FEB 18 CHECK-IN AT NAIA TERMINAL 3 AT 2100HRS

FEB 19 DEPARTURE FROM MANILA to AMMAN / ARRIVAL IN AMMAN / MADABA / PETRA
Morning arrival in Amman airport. Meet and assist by a local guide. Drive to Madaba to visit the Monastery of St. George, which hosts the unique mosaic Map of Egypt, Jordan and Holy Land. The map is believed to be the first one for this area. It was built in the 6th century A.D. Visit also the Church of the Beheading of John the Baptist and the Church of the Apostles. Have a long distance drive to hotel in Petra for check-in, dinner and overnight.

FEB 20 PETRA / MT. NEBO / AMMAN
Breakfast and check-out at hotel. Visit the lost city of Petra with optional horseback ride through the picturesque SIQ, and visit the Treasury. Then shop at Holy Land gifts. Continue our journey to Mount Nebo, where Moses viewed the Promised Land before he died. Drive to Amman hotel for check-in, dinner and overnight.

FEB 21 AL MAGTAS / JERICHO /NAZARETH (border cross)

Breakfast at hotel and check-out at the hotel. Visit Al Magtas “Jordan River” for Baptismal Renewal. This place was proclaimed by the late Pope John Paul II as the original site of Jesus’ Baptism. Then proceed for BORDER crossing into Israel. You will be met and assisted by local guide. Continue to Jericho, pass by to see the “Sycamore Tree”, where Zaccheus, the tax collector climbed the tree to see Jesus who was passing by. After lunch, view the Mount of Temptation. It is a high mountain west of Jericho where satan tempted Jesus. Continue to hotel in Nazareth for dinner and overnight.

FEB 22 NAZARETH / CANA
Hotel breakfast. Go up to Mt. Tabor to see the Basilica of Transfiguration. Return to Nazareth to visit the Basilica of Annunciation where the Archangel Gabriel announced to Virgin Mary the birth of Jesus Christ. Visit also St. Joseph’s workshop and Home of the Holy Family. Then proceed to Cana, where Jesus performed His first miracle. He turned the water into wine at the Wedding in Cana. (Those who wish may renew their Wedding vows at the Church). Return to Nazareth hotel for dinner and overnight.

FEB 23 TIBERIAS / CAPERNAUM / NAZARETH
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Mount of Beatitudes; this is the site of the Sermon on the Mount. Proceed to Tabgha, where the Miracle of the Multiplication of Loaves and Fishes took place. Then continue on to St. Peter’s Primacy Church. Visit to Dalmanuta in Tabgha. Drive to Capernaum, the town where Jesus made His home after leaving Nazareth. View the remains of the ancient Synagogue in which He taught. Have a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Drive to the diamond factory, Caprice. Then back to hotel in Nazareth for dinner and overnight.

FEB 24 HAIFA / CAESAREA / BETHLEHEM
Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Drive to Mt. Carmel to visit Stella Maris Church and pass by Haifa where one can enjoy a panoramic view of the Bahai Gardens. Continue to Caesarea, which was built by Herod the Great, to catch sight of the Aqueducts and the Roman Theater. Proceed to your hotel in Bethlehem for check-in, dinner and overnight.

FEB 25 JERUSALEM / BETHLEHEM
Breakfast at hotel. Start the full day tour at the Dome of the Rock. Continue to the Pool of Bethesda and Church of St. Anne. Then proceed to Via Dolorosa starting at Ecce Homo where Pontius Pilate washed his hands. Proceed to the Flagellation until you reach the Church of the Holy Sepulchre where Jesus was crucified, died and rose from the dead. Then continue to the Wailing Wall. Proceed to the Shrine of the Book. And visit the scale model of Jerusalem. Then move on to Bethlehem to visit the Shepherds Field, the site where the star appeared to the shepherds which lead them to the manger where baby Jesus was born. Visit also the Milk Grotto, the Basilica and Grotto of the Nativity and the Church of Nativity, the traditional birthplace of Jesus, and the Manger Square. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

FEB 26 JERUSALEM / EIN KAREM
Breakfast at hotel. Visit the Mount Zion area to see the Dormition Abbey. Then visit the Upper Room where Jesus and his disciples had their last supper. Visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu. See also King David’s tomb. Proceed to the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu. Drive to Ein Karemfor visit to St. John the Baptist Church and Church of Visitation (Magnificat) where the Blessed Virgin Mary visited Elizabeth. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

FEB 27 BETHANY / QUMRAN / DEAD SEA
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to the town of Bethany and visit the Church of Lazarus. Then go to Qumran, the caves of the Essenes where the Dead SeaScrolls were found by a wandering shepherd boy. Proceed to Dead Sea for a dip in the lowest and saltiest sea on earth. Return to hotel for check-in, dinner and overnight.

FEB 28 JERUSALEM

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to the Mount of Olives to visit the Ascension Chapel where Jesus ascended into Heaven. Visit the Church of Pater Noster to witness the “Lord’s Prayer” written in several languages. Proceed to the Church of Dominus Flevit (God Wept) where God wept over Jerusalem. Move on and continue by walking down the Palm Sunday road to the Church of All Nations and the Garden of Gethsemane to see the Rock of Agony the place where Jesus prayed before the Roman soldiers came for Him. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

MAR 01 BORDER CROSS TO AMMAN /MANILA

Breakfast at hotel and check-out. Drive to the BORDER to cross back to Amman. We will be met and assisted by a local guide upon arrival in Amman. Then transfer to the airport catch the flight back to Manila.

PILGRIMAGE CHAPLAIN’S PROFILE:FR. DAVE T. CONCEPCION

Fr. Dave Concepcion is the Parish Priest of Sta. Maria Goretti Parish, the church hidden like a pearl in the oyster called the Pope Pius XII Catholic Center along United Nations Avenue in Manila’s Paco District.

He is the President of Catholic Travel Inc. and has journeyed with many pilgrims to the Holy Land and other holy sites around the world as pilgrimage chaplain.

Fr. Dave is a sought after homilist and retreat master known for reflections that lead one to introspection and a deeper relationship with God. He reaches a greater audience on Radio Veritas846 as a regular co-anchor on Pamilya Mo, Pamilya Ko (Mondays, 10-11:55am) where he shares his reflections on the Gospel.

Aside from his daily masses at Sta. Maria Goretti Parish, he presides the Monday 5:45pm and 7pm Eucharistic Celebration at the Sto, Niño de Paz chapel in Greenbelt and the Saturday 12:15pm at the Chapel of the Eucharistic Lord in Megamall.

He teaches Fundamental Liturgy at the Holy Apostles Senior Seminary, the seminary for late vocations of which he is an alumnus.

Fr. Dave is the Spiritual Director of the Rivers of Living Water Catholic Community.
