ITINERARY:

FEB 08 CHECK-IN AT NAIA TERMINAL 3

AT 1900HRS / DEPARTURE FROM MANILA TO TEL AVIV, ISRAEL VIA ISTANBUL

 

FEB 09 TEL AVIV / NAZARETH

Arrival in Ben Gurion Airport, Tel Aviv.  Meet and assist then drive to Caesarea. This was built by Herod the Great, to catch sight of the Aqueducts and the Roman Theater. Continue to Nazareth to visit the Basilica of Annunciation where the Archangel Gabriel announced to Virgin Mary the birth of Jesus Christ. Visit also St. Joseph’s workshop and Home of the Holy Family. Transfer to hotel check-in, for dinner and overnight.

 

FEB 10 NAZARETH / CANA

Hotel breakfast. Go up to Mt. Tabor to see the Basilica of Transfiguration. Then proceed to Cana, where Jesus performed His first miracle. He turned the water into wine at the Wedding in Cana. (Those who wish may renew their Wedding vows at the Church). Return to Nazareth hotel for dinner and overnight.

 

FEB 11 TIBERIAS / CAPERNAUM / NAZARETH

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Mount of Beatitudes; this is the site of the Sermon on the Mount. Proceed to Tabgha, where the Miracle of the Multiplication of Loaves and Fishes took place. Then continue on to St. Peter’s Primacy Church. Visit to Dalmanuta in Tabgha. Drive to Capernaum, the town where Jesus made His home after leaving Nazareth. View the remains of the ancient Synagogue in which He taught. Have a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Drive to the diamond factory, Caprice. Then back to hotel in Nazareth for dinner and overnight.

 

FEB 12 HAIFA / BETHLEHEM

Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Drive to Mt. Carmel to visit Stella Maris Church and pass by Haifa where one can enjoy a panoramic view of the Bahai Gardens. Proceed to your hotel in Bethlehem for check-in, dinner and overnight.

 

FEB 13 JERUSALEM / BETHLEHEM

Breakfast at hotel. Start the full day tour at the Dome of the Rock. Continue to the Pool of Bethesda and Church of St. Anne. Then proceed to Via Dolorosa starting at Ecce Homo where Pontius Pilate washed his hands. Proceed to the Flagellation until you reach the Church of the Holy Sepulchre where Jesus was crucified, died and rose from the dead. Then continue to the Wailing Wall. Proceed to the Shrine of the Book. And visit the scale model of Jerusalem. Then move on to Bethlehem to visit the Shepherds Field, the site where the star appeared to the shepherds which lead them to the manger where baby Jesus was born. Visit also the Milk Grotto, the Basilica and Grotto of the Nativity and the Church of Nativity, the traditional birthplace of Jesus, and the Manger Square. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

 

FEB 14 JERUSALEM / EIN KAREM

Breakfast at hotel. Visit the Mount Zion area to see the Dormition Abbey. Then visit the Upper Room where Jesus and his disciples had their last supper. Visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu. See also King David’s tomb. Proceed to the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu. Drive to Ein Karem for visit to St. John the Baptist Church and Church of Visitation (Magnificat) where the Blessed Virgin Mary visited Elizabeth. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

 

FEB 15  JERUSALEM

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to the Mount of Olives to visit the Ascension Chapel where Jesus ascended into Heaven. Visit the Church of Pater Noster to witness the “Lord’s Prayer” written in several languages. Proceed to the Church of Dominus Flevit (God Wept) where God wept over Jerusalem. Move on and continue by walking down the Palm Sunday road to the Church of All Nations and the Garden of Gethsemane to see the Rock of Agony the place where Jesus prayed before the Roman soldiers came for Him. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

 

FEB 16 BETHANY / QUMRAN / JERICHO /  DEAD SEA

Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Drive to the town of Bethany and visit the Church of Lazarus. Then go to Qumran, the caves of the Essenes where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found by a wandering shepherd boy. Continue to Jericho, pass by to see the “Sycamore Tree”, where Zaccheus, the tax collector climbed the tree to see Jesus who was passing by. After lunch, view the Mount of Temptation. It is a high mountain west of Jericho where satan tempted Jesus. Proceed to Dead Sea for a dip in the lowest and saltiest sea on earth. Transfer to hotel for check-in, dinner and overnight.

 

FEB 17 BORDER CROSS TO AMMAN / AL MAGTAS / MT NEBO / PETRA

Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Then proceed for BORDER crossing into Jordan. You will be met and assisted by local guide. Visit Al Magtas “Jordan River” for Baptismal Renewal. This place was proclaimed by the late Pope John Paul II as the original site of Jesus’ Baptism. Drive to Mount Nebo, where Moses viewed the Promised Land before he died. Have a long distance drive to hotel in Petra for check-in, dinner and overnight.

 

FEB 18 PETRA / AMMAN

Breakfast and check-out at hotel. Visit the lost city of Petra with optional horseback ride through the picturesque SIQ, and visit the Treasury. Then shop at Holy Land gifts. Proceed to hotel in Amman for check-in, dinner and overnight.

 

FEB 19 MADABA / AMMAN

Breakfast at the hotel. Proceed to Madaba to visit the Monastery of St. George, which hosts the unique mosaic Map of Egypt, Jordan and Holy Land. The map is believed to be the first one for this area. It was built in the 6th century A.D. Visit also the Church of the Beheading of John the Baptist. Return to hotel for dinner. Have some rest before check-out.

 

FEB 20 AMMAN / ISTANBUL (fly)

Check-out at 2:00am. Transfer to Amman airport to catch flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival in Istanbul in the morning, we will have lunch. Then we will visit the Outlet Leather Factory & Center and have free time for shopping and watch Live Fashion Show. Afterwards, we will continue to visit the Spice Bazaar where we will experience the smells of cinnamon, cloves and thyme rising from every store, the same smells that filled the air over 400 years ago. Then we will continue to roam around the exciting Grand bazaar, a maze of over 4000 tiny shops selling gold, jewelry, leatherwork and fine carpets. Transfer to hotel for check-in and dinner. At 10pm, we will check-out at the hotel and transfer to Istanbul airport to catch our flight back to Manila.
