Pilgrimage to Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe with Fr. Dave T. Concepcion

NOV 01    Manila / Los Angeles

Check-in at NAIA Terminal 2 at 0700hrs. Depart Manila to Los Angeles, USA.

NOV 01    Los Angeles (-/L/D)

Morning arrival in Los Angeles (USA time). Have lunch before proceeding to hotel for check-in. Rest of the time is free at your own leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

NOV 02      Los Angeles / Mexico City (B/-/D)

After breakfast, transfer to the airport to catch flight to Mexico. Lunch will be on your own account. Arrive in Mexico. Meet and assist at the airport.  Transfer to the hotel for check-in, dinner and overnight.

 

NOV 03     Cuernavaca / Taxco / Mexico City (B/L/D)

Make an early departure for Cuernavaca after breakfast. See the Cuernavaca Cathedral, the Zocalo and the Cortes Palace. Continue to Taxco, also known as the Silver Town.  Visit the Church of Santa Prisca. See also the Taxco market and bazaar. Then have some leisure time to wander around the cobbled-stoned colonial streets.  Drive back to Mexico City. Have dinner at a local restaurant. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

 

 

 

NOV 04    Guadalupe (B/L/D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to the new and old Shrine of Guadalupe to see the sanctuary and celebrate private Mass. Visit the garden, and Baptismal site of San Diego, the Church of Santiago Apostol and the Tlateloco. Rest of the time is free for private devotion and some souvenir shopping in the area. Have dinner at a local restaurant. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

 

NOV 05    Xochilmilco (B/L/D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Proceed to the tour of Mexico including visit to University City.  See the Flower market and Church of El Carmen. Then have a boat ride at Xochilmilco canals for approximately 40 minutes. Afterwards, drive along Revolution St. for panoramic view of Olympic Village. Have dinner at a local restaurant. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

 

NOV 06    Tlaxcala / Ocotlan / Puebla (B/L/D)

Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Make an early departure to Tlaxcala. Visit the Shrine of San Miguel del Milagro where you will find and get the miraculous water that sprang from a well created by Archangel Miguel. Have a short visit to the former Franciscan Monastery in Tlaxcala. Visit also the Church of Our Lady of Nativity, Church of San Francisco and the Shrine of Our Lady of Ocotlan.  Continue to Puebla – considered to be a human heritage by UNESCO.  Have dinner at a local restaurant. Transfer to the hotel for check-in and overnight.

 

NOV 07    Puebla / Tonantzintla-Acatepec / Cholula / Puebla (B/L/D)

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Cholula to visit the Archaelogical site.  See the largest pyramid in Mesoamerica and the new excavations and continue towards Santa Maria Tonantzintla, a beautiful church with Indian decorations. Then return to Puebla de los Angeles to visit the Church of Nuestra Senora de los Remedios, Talavera Workshop, St. Dominic Church, Chapel of Our Lady of the Rosary and the Church of St. Francis of Assisi. Have dinner at a local restaurant before returning to the hotel for overnight stay.

NOV 08    Puebla / Los Angeles (B/L/-)

After breakfast and check-out at the hotel, visit the Zocalo and the Cathedral of Puebla. Have a long distance drive back to Mexico City. Proceed to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe for a quick visit before transfer to Mexico City Airport to catch flight to Los Angeles. Check-in at the hotel for overnight stay. Dinner will be on your own account due to late arrival in Los Angeles.

NOV 09    Los Angeles / Manila (B/L/-)

Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Transfer to the Los Angeles airport to catch a flight back to Manila. Dinner will be on your own account.
