ITINERARY: MEXICO / CUERNAVACA / TAXCO / CAYOACAN / XOCHIMILCO / TLAXCALA / OCOTLAN / PUEBLA DE LOS ANGELES / TEOTIHUACAN / TONANTZINTLA – ACATEPEC / CHOLULA
Check-in at NAIA at 0400hrs. Depart Manila to Mexico via San Francisco, USA (if via United Airlines flight). Please take note that airfare from Manila is not included in the package quoted in this offer.
Upon arrival in Mexico late in the afternoon, we will transfer to the hotel for check-in, dinner and overnight.
Make an early departure for Cuernavaca after breakfast. See the Cuernavaca Cathedral, the Zocalo and the Cortes Palace. Continue to Taxco, also known as the Silver Town. Visit the Church of Santa Prisca. See also the Taxco market and bazaar. Then have some leisure time to wander around the cobbled-stoned colonial streets. Drive back to Mexico City. Have dinner at a local restaurant. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to the new and old Shrine of Guadalupe to see the sanctuary and celebrate private Mass. See the “Bent Crucifix” inside the Basilica. Visit the garden, and Baptismal site of San Diego, the Church of Santiago Apostol and the Tlateloco. Rest of the time is free for private devotion and some souvenir shopping in the area. Have dinner at a local restaurant. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will explore the south of Mexico City visiting Coyoacan, a bohemian district of Mexico City known for its cobbled streets and colonial architecture. Here, we will have our private Mass. We will visit the Museum of Frida Khalo. Afterwards, we will drive to Xochimilco to have a one-hour boat ride on the Trajinera with Mexican snacks. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Make an early departure to Tlaxcala. Have a short visit to the former Franciscan Monastery in Tlaxcala. Visit also the Church of Our Lady of Nativity, Church of San Francisco and the Shrine of Our Lady of Ocotlan. Continue to Puebla - considered to be a human heritage by UNESCO. Transfer to the hotel for check-in, dinner and overnight.
visit the Archaelogical site. See the largest pyramid in Mesoamerica and the new excavations and continue towards Santa Maria Tonantzintla, a beautiful church with Indian decorations. Then return to Puebla de los Angeles to visit the Church of Nuestra Senora de los Remedios, Talavera Workshop, St. Dominic Church, Chapel of Our Lady of the Rosary and the Church of St. Francis of Assisi. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast and check-out at the hotel, visit the Zocalo and the Basilica Cathedral of Puebla – also known as the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception (World Heritage Site by UNESCO). Drive back to Mexico. Transfer to the hotel for check-in, dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, we will visit the most important archeological zone in Mexico City, Teotihuacan. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Centre and a vast Mexican archeological complex northeast of Mexico City. You will see here the Pyramid of the Moon and the Pyramid of the Sun. After that, we will have lunch then private Mass. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast and check-out, we will again visit the Shrine of Guadalupe. Celebrate private Mass. Rest of the time is free for private devotion and last-minute shopping. Transfer to Mexico City Airport to catch your flight to Manila via San Francisco (if via United Airlines flight).
